Offering independent tool-assisted recovery sessions and manual therapy sessions by a highly skilled athletic trainer.
In order to become an expert athlete you have to train like one, which leads to the feeling of soreness, stiff muscles, pain, and decrease in performance. Recovery is vital, however it can be a challenge to find time to allow our bodies to rest and recover properly. So let us to help you expedite the process.
This session allows the athlete to work one-on-one with an athletic trainer. The athletic trainer will assess goals of the recovery session and will determine the manual therapy techniques that are most beneficial. Techniques that may be utilized are shown below along with a description, but it is not an exhaustive list. Sessions are mobile and are 30 minutes or an hour.
This session allows the athlete to choose from a variety of recovery tools used by expert athletes. Some of the tool choices are shown below along with a short description, but is not an exhaustive list. During this session, the athletic trainer will be hands off but available for any questions or advice. Sessions are mobile and are 30 minutes or an hour.
Stretching technique that is very effective in increasing range of motion in targeted stiff muscles.
Soft tissue technique used to elevate pain or soreness in muscles. Trigger points are painful, tense areas in a muscle. These areas can be released which causes improved blood flow to the area, relief of stiffness, and release of surrounding tissue.
Technique that stimulates the lymphatic system, which is part of the immune system. After exercise, it can be important to target the lymphatic system to flush toxic waste that builds up.
Technique that can aid in relaxing muscles, increase blood circulation and lymph flow, improve healing time, reduce inflammation, improve range of motion and joint flexibility, increase endorphins, decrease muscle spasms, improve oxygen flow, and relieve muscle tension.
Skilled instrument assisted soft tissue technique that is effective in breaking up scar tissue and adhesions. Benefits can include reduction in pain and soreness as well as increased range of motion.
Therapy that increases circulation to a specific area, which promotes healing. Cupping has been used extensively to treat soreness.
Scientifically calibrated to reach 60% deeper into muscle than the average massager, at 40 times a second, for greater therapeutic benefits to the body.
Benefits include:
● Increasing blood flow
● Decreasing lactic acid
● Improving motion & flexibility
● Hydrating tissue
● Preventing adhesions
● Faster warm-up and recovery
● Decreasing inflammation
● Improving posture
● Decreasing muscle soreness
● Enhancing sleep quality
Pneumatic compression is a form of pressure massage in which a garment completely covering the limb (legs or arms) inflates and deflates in a cyclical pattern over a period of time. The process flushes fluids containing metabolic waste and ushers in fresh, nutrient-rich blood to the limbs, improving circulation and blood flow. This increased circulation will reduce muscle pain and soreness, decrease swelling, and offer greater pain relief and recovery.
Utilizes the proven concepts of NMES and TENS
NMES: Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation uses small electric signals to target and create contractions
of the muscle to speed up muscle recovery and help temporarily reduce pain.
TENS: Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation uses electrical pulses to stimulate sensory nerves, providing temporary pain relief in the applied area.
Amplifies the soothing power of heat with compression and vibration to treat sore or tense muscles.
Both foam and percussive foam rollers are available for use. Use for increasing mobility, releasing tight muscles, increase range of motion, and more all done independently.
