Emily grew up in Stockton and fell in love with sports at a young age. First gymnastics, and then pursing alpine ski racing and springboard diving in college. She attended The College of Idaho where she became an All-American on the 1-meter springboard. Emily has a passion for helping athletes during times of injuries and helping them become the best they can be. She has experience with all levels, including Division I and professional. Notably, Emily worked with the Stockton Heat as their assistant athletic trainer. She is excited to work with more athletes helping them become experts in their sport.
An athletic trainer is a certified and licensed health care professional who practices in the field of sports medicine. Athletic training encompasses the prevention, examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of emergent, acute or chronic injuries and medical conditions. Athletic training is recognized by the American Medical Association (AMA), Health Resources Services Administration (HRSA) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as an allied health care profession (NATA Website).
Athletic Trainers (ATs) are some of the most comprehensively prepared allied medical professionals, trained to deal with injuries. Their goal is to keep athletes safe, healthy, and on the field as much as possible.
